10 Reasons Women Lose Interest in You

The woman you thought was perfect — the one for whom you would’ve done anything — suddenly banishes you. You find yourself either relegated to the purgatory of the “we can still be friends” zone, or you are cut-off completely, dumped like yesterday’s garbage. How can this be? Why did this happen? Was it her? Was it you?
In the majority of instances when a woman initiates a breakup, it is due to the fact that she simply lost interest in you. This usually doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a slow and progressive process. However, once that process gets started it leads to only one conclusion — you’ll be out.
Knowing the reasons women lose interest in you can help you to prevent such a fate.
1. You Lie
Women do not like liars. They can never be fully trusted. Since trust is an essential ingredient for a successful relationship, if you are a chronic liar, guess what? You’ll be watering down one of the most important factors that she’ll be evaluating. The more you lie, the less value you have for her as a partner. Like sawdust in a gearbox, over time your lies will grind down her interest in you.
2. You Are Too Needy, Man!
Yes, women are nurturing. Yes, they rightfully expect to have a central role in your life. However, there is a fundamental difference between being there for you when you really need support and having to be your nursemaid. There is no faster way to erode a woman’s interest in you than making her constantly feel like she has to do something for you, as opposed to wanting to do something for you.
Women see drive and motivation as important traits in a man. Having to constantly stroke your ego, be your emotional crutch or second mommy gets old fast. Honestly, you can’t blame her if she loses interest under those circumstances.
3. You’re Too Jealous
Jealousy is one of those emotions that no woman wants to be entirely absent in her man. However, as the old saying goes, there can be too much of a good thing. If you are constantly hounding your partner about who she’s following on social media. If you pick a fight with someone simply because they smiled at her. In general, if your jealousy is becoming a form of possessive paranoia, she will quickly grow tired of you.
Most women will see routine jealousy as an ego-boosting affirmation of their virtues and attributes. Obsessive jealousy, on the other hand, will be seen as you trying to objectify her as one of your “possessions.” That grows old quickly and will take with it a lot of the interest she had in you.
4. You Have Nothing in Common
Compatibility can never be forced. Part of compatibility involves having a few things in common. While absolute commonality in tastes and routines would lead to boredom, so too does not having enough things in common. In turn, boredom leads to disinterest and… you can see where this going.
5. She Found a Better Prospect
When she first met you, you were like that highly-coveted first round draft pick — full of potential. Over time, however, her expectations may have changed. This may cause her to actively start “scouting” new prospects. When this happens she will begin to lose interest in you. Her time will start being occupied — innocently at first — with someone else.
Remember, a relationship holds certain similarity to an investment. If she doesn’t believe that she is getting a satisfactory return — no matter how great a deal you seemed at first — she will lose interest and start planning your romantic liquidation.
6. Monotony
Dinner at the China Palace on Wednesday nights, Saturday mornings at the farmer’s market, Sunday afternoons at your parents’ house, etc. Outings that when they were done spontaneously and occasionally were fun, when done repeatedly to the point where they become routine creates monotony. When she starts viewing the time that you spend together as being predictable, you start rolling down a slippery slope. Eventually, she will lose interest and seek more entertaining and spontaneous pastures.
7. You’re Vague About the Relationship
Nothing will eat away at a woman’s interest in you more than your vagueness about where you think the relationship is going. Most women will want to know where you stand regarding the future of the relationship. They value sincerity in your evaluation of the relationship’s direction. If you give off mixed signals about your long-term intentions you can’t blame her if her interest in you begins to dwindle.
8. Dude, She’s Right There
Ignore her and you’ll lose her. That should be made into a plaque and placed where you can read it every day. If a woman feels like she’s being ignored or neglected she will focus her interests on finding someone who values her presence. Remember, it’s her perception that matters with this one. You may think that you are showering her with attention, but if she doesn’t — she’ll feel ignored and bye-bye interest.
9. You’re Suffocating Her, Dude!
Just as women have a low tolerance for being ignored, they also don’t like being suffocated by a partner that is overwhelming in displaying his affection. While every woman will want her partner to be romantic, they also want him to be genuine and authentic about it. They want to be surprised by that moment of affection and romance, not smothered in it 24/7. If a woman feels suffocated she will begin to see your affections as being disingenuous. Once that happens her interest in you will start slipping.
10. You Are Pompous, Arrogant or Plain Annoying
In other words, she thinks you’re an @**#0!#. Maybe you are, maybe you’re not — that’s not the point. Once she sees you as being arrogant, pompous or annoying she will be hard-pressed to ever see your virtues. That means that she will be predisposed to see any act of benevolence on your part as the exception rather than the norm. It’s hard to win under those circumstances and her interest will be nearly impossible to sustain.
Sometimes a woman losing interest in you is a good thing. When it is a result of a genuine incompatibility between the both of you, it’s best to get that out in the open and move on. However, when you are culpable for bringing about the deterioration of her interest in you in the first place, then it is helpful to know what may be causing it so you can fix it.
