How can I turn off the auto-renewal feature on my AdultFriendFinder account?
Don’t get me wrong, I am very pleased with my AFF account. However, I am the sort of person that likes to control my personal budget directly. I’m never comfortable with the idea of auto-renewing anything. Try as I might, I have not been able to find a way to remove auto-renewal on AFF. Is this even possible? If so, what do I have to do?
Auto-renewal is a very handy feature to have activated on your account. That is why AdultFriendFinder has it on by default on all new user accounts. However, as you have mentioned, for a variety of reasons there are times when removing auto-renewal is desirable.
On AFF the process is simple. In order to do so, you must first log in to your account. From our direct experience, we would suggest that you do this process while logged into the full desktop version of AFF.
From the member homepage, on the top menu bar, click on “my account.” From there, select “billing history and credit card info.” Upon doing so, the status of your payment information will be displayed. One of those items will be “auto-renewal.” Simply click “off,” and this will disable AFF’s auto-renewal feature.
When the auto-renewal is turned off on AFF, you will receive emails warning you when your expiration date is approaching.
If at any point in the future you wish to reactivate auto-renewal, you simply have to follow the same steps and select “on” for auto-renewal.
As you can now see, deactivating auto-renewal takes only a minute or two of your time. We have heard horror stories from other AFF users who — unable to find the proper way to accomplish this task — took it upon themselves to report the charges to their credit company as “unknown.” In the process, not only did they compromise their AFF account, but also incurred additional fees from their bank when the institution discovered that it was not grounds for a legitimate chargeback.
Follow the steps we outlined above, and you will never encounter such problems.
