Duet is the app in this batch we can tell you least about, and that is the point of this page.
It is currently sitting at number 20 in the US App Store Lifestyle chart, above Hily, PURE, Feeld and DOWN, and just below Bumble at 18. It has 98,495 US App Store ratings at a 4.58 average, the highest average of the seven apps we reviewed in this round. It was released on iOS in February 2023 and was last updated on 28 July 2026, so it is actively maintained and growing fast.
And yet there is almost no independent coverage of it. No tech-press launch story, no funding write-up, no founder interview we could find. The App Store seller is WINK TECH LIMITED, a name that tells you very little, and the Android listing sits under the package identifier next.bondee.tech, which suggests a link to the Bondee social app, though neither company states a relationship publicly.
We are not going to invent a history for it. What follows is what we could verify, and a clear account of what we could not, because with an app this opaque the gaps are the story.

A note on that 4.58. It is the highest average in this group, and a very high average on a large volume of ratings is worth a raised eyebrow rather than automatic confidence. Multiple users report that seeing people genuinely near them requires the paid tier, with the free experience surfacing profiles from further afield. If accurate, that is the single most important thing to know before you spend anything, because a dating app whose local pool is behind a paywall is a very different proposition from one whose local pool is free.

For a location-aware app that holds your photos, your messages and your whereabouts, that is a real gap. An app with no public accountability trail is not automatically dangerous, but you have no lever to pull if something goes wrong.
Practical position: treat it as you would any unknown operator. Do not reuse a password. Keep identifying detail out of early conversation. Assume anything you upload may persist. And be sceptical of a paywall that gates the local pool, since that structure rewards keeping you subscribed rather than getting you a date.
