FastMeet presents itself as being that type of app. They describe themselves even more enticingly by stating that they are a “FREE dating app for your phone with full users profiles, voice and video messages, pictures and gifts, ratings and an Encounters game!

— Availability —

FastMeet is available exclusively as a mobile app. There is no desktop version. It can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.

Additionally, we also found multiple third-party sites from which the FastMeet APK could be downloaded and installed on your phone. However, using such a method to install FastMeet comes with a high level of risk for accidentally installing malware or viruses on your device. We would recommend sticking to the official repositories.

— Hype Versus Reality —

In its promotional material, FastMeet presents itself as an innovative and unique solution for helping single people meet interesting partners. Unfortunately, the reality is that there is nothing innovative about FastMeet. This does not mean that it does not offer a functional set of features. It only means that none of the features can be considered groundbreaking.

We would describe the feature set found on FastMeet as being generic. Basically, they are features that are commonly found on other websites renamed and stylized to suit the FastMeet branding.

Yes, there are plenty of other mobile dating apps that are guilty of the same thing. That, however, does not negate the fact that FastMeet is simply one more in a long list of unoriginal derivative apps.

In our opinion, if you already have a dating app that you are happy with, FastMeet does not offer anything that is interesting enough to warrant a change on your part.

— The Features —

Everything about the FastMeet platform has a feeling of familiarity — as if you have seen it before elsewhere. If you have spent even just a few minutes on another dating app, chances are that you have.

Registration on FastMeet requires you to simply enter an email address, a password, and your first name.

The search functionality on FastMeet allows for users to search for partners based on basic parameters such as gender, age range, and location.

There is nothing innovative about that.

When you click on an individual user’s profile, you have the option to send them a message, request an online conversation, or send them a flirt. Again, there is nothing Innovative here.

The FastMeet description in the online repositories refers to “cool portfolios full of intriguing photos.” For us, at least, that made us believe that there was going to be something special about the images that we would find on Fast Meet profiles. Unfortunately, this was yet another letdown. Just like on any other dating app, FastMeet allows you to upload multiple images of yourself. If this is what they meant by “intriguing photos,” we were not amused.

Even the much hyped “Adult Encounters” game isn’t nothing more than a swipe-based discovery feature. You know, swipe right to like, swipe left to pass. We’re telling you, we’ve seen all of this a million times before — where’s the originality?

— Cost —

One thing which we will say in favor of FastMeet is that its claim of being a free service does not take extreme liberties with the word “free.” All of the features — including those for communication, such as messaging, online chat, voice and video messages — are in fact free.

In our opinion, the majority of users can get the full FastMeet experience entirely from its free version. However, for those individuals who want to have additional functionality made available to them, a premium version is also available.

A 1-month subscription to the premium version of the Fastmeet app will cost you $12.99 a month. If you opt for the 3-month package, your total cost with be $34.99. The 6-month and 1-year subscriptions will set you back $59.99 and $74.99 respectiveley.

The additional features offered in this premium version, much as the free version, are short on originality. You will be able to see who has liked your profile, you are also given an additional number of winks that you can send to other members.

Interestingly, FastMeet does not inform you of the number of free winks that you can send with the free version. It was through trial and error on the part of our testers that we determined that you are able to send between 10 and 20 winks per day. With the premium plan, you have unlimited winks.

The cost for the premium version is $12.99 per month. You are also given the option of paying $34.99 for a three-month subscription, or $74.99 for one full year.

Based on the fact that the premium version is not that much of a step-up from the free version, we would advise that you stick to the free version.
