Not too long ago, we started seeing pop-under ads for a hookup site called FlirtBuddies.com. Curious to determine if this was a site worthy of our readership’s time and money, we conducted a full review of the site’s performance. Here’s our FlirtBuddies.com review.

When you first visit FlirtBuddies.com you are greeted by a welcome page. The top portion of the page is dedicated to getting you started on the site’s four-step registration process. They are kind enough to place the image of a beauty with plenty of cleavage in this section just to make sure that you don’t skip over it.

The remainder of the page contains tiled images of supposed members of FlirtBuddies — all of them stunningly beautiful women. As far as first impressions go, they certainly build up expectations. Are they able to fulfill them? Well, let’s read our Flirtbuddies.com review a little further to find out.

— FlirtBuddies Registration Process —

Registration is fairly simple. You start by indicating whether you are a male seeking females or vice versa. Those are the only two choices available from their drop down menu. You then click on the red “next” button. The second step requires you to select a username for the site. In the third step, you choose a password — with the final step requiring you to enter a valid email address. You receive a verification email within a minute or two. Once you click on the verification link you are able to access FlirtBuddies as a member.

The features offered on FlirtBuddies are what you would expect from most run of the mill hookup sites — a search function and an internal messaging platform. There is an extra feature that allows members to make contact via SMS text messages. This feature allows you to use your cell phone to exchange messages without releasing your cell phone number. On the surface, you will get the impression that this hookup site might have some real possibilities — Unfortunately, everything falls apart once you spend a few minutes on the site.

— Where FlirtBuddies Goes Wrong —

During our FlirtBuddies.com review, we started receiving a large number of notifications alerting us that we had incoming messages. Each was from stunningly beautiful women. Unfortunately, all of these were from what the site refers to as “fantasy cuties.” If you read the site’s terms of use, you will discover that these are fantasy profiles and automated messages. In other words — all fake, not flesh and blood.

It’s bad enough that FlirtBuddies uses this type of automated profiles, but when their main purpose is to entice you to respond (which requires a paid membership) that’s just irritating. In case you are curious, a one-month membership costs $29.95, a three-month membership costs $49.95, and a one-year membership will cost you $69.90. If you decide to sign up for the 3-day trial, be aware of the fact that you will be automatically billed for full membership at the end of the trial unless you cancel on time.

Hookup sites come in varying degrees of quality. Recently we took an in-depth look at FlirtBuddies.com. The site proclaims itself to be “the #1 hookup site to text, meet and make new friends!!” That’s one hell of a bold claim. We immediately wondered, is it true? Once we got a look at the inside of FlirtBuddies we were shocked by what we found. Read on to discover what you can expect if you join FlirtBuddies.

FlirtBuddies is a catchy name. It is easy to remember and definitely gets your imagination going with regards to finding a partner to hookup with ASAP. When you visit the site, that impression is reinforced further. You will be greeted by an image of a busty blonde appearing above the fold and two rows of tiled images of supposed members — each one an example of absolute hotness — all you can say is, “damn, sign me up!”

As we always tell our readers, when it comes to sites such as FlirtBuddies — those that offer a ton of eye-candy up front — make sure to kick the tires and take it for a spin before you commit to buy. In this case, we took care of the test drive for you. This is what you can expect from FlirtBuddies

— Registration Process —

Registering on FlirtBuddies starts on the welcome page. Immediately to the right of the large image of the buxom blonde, you will find a registration box that indicates that it is a short four-step process. The first step requires you to state your gender along with that of the match that you are seeking. You then click on a big red button marked “NEXT” and you proceed to enter your selected username for the site, your selected password, and a valid email. You then click on a red button that is marked “FINISH SIGN UP” and voila, your four-step registration process is complete. You can literally register for FlirtBuddies in under a minute.

Technically speaking, there is a fifth step. You must click on a validation link that is sent to the email that you entered at registration. If you fail to do so within 72 hours of having registered, your account gets canceled.

— The Members Area —

Once you register, you are redirected to the member’s area. If you have not validated your email address, a small banner will be displayed at the top of the page reminding you to do so. You will also be reminded to create a user profile. Creating one, however, is entirely optional.

Creating a profile consists of uploading a profile picture and as many as five additional images. You can also write a brief “about me” introduction. Beyond that, your profile section only offers you the option to enter basic data about your physical attributes, such as age, height, weight, eye color etc. It is as if FlirtBuddies really doesn’t care to know too much about its members.

This same indifference to detail is carried over to their matchmaking search engine. The only criteria that you can filter for are the same physical attributes that you filled out in your own profile.

— What Light Through Yonder Window Breaks? —

Is it the sun? No.

Is it one of those hot cuties whose profile pics you saw on FlirtBuddies welcome page? No, not exactly.

Is it any real woman eager to vent and satisfy her sexual desires with you? No, unfortunately not.

Is it a chat-bot camouflaged by a fake profile? YES, yes, yes!

After about one minute on the site, you will start receiving message notifications and chat requests from not one, not two, but from several “female members” of FlirtBuddies. The profile pictures attached to these messages will leave you eager to respond. Unfortunately, the moment you click on the button to reply, guess what? You can’t. Instead, you are informed that in order to reply or send messages you must first upgrade to a paid membership.

Well, hell’s bells, why would that matter if you have several hotties lined up and eager to get down to business with you, right? Remember, these are not real hotties. These are chat-bots. FlirtBuddies stipulates it in their terms of service that they use “fabricated profiles” and automated messaging systems to interact with members for entertainment and marketing purpose. Responding to these bots will get you as close to getting laid as speaking to the images in a lingerie catalog.

— Cost —

In case you do not heed or warning about the prevalence of chat-bots and fake profiles on FlirtBuddies, the cost to get full membership and to be able to use the communication features on the site will run you $40.21 per month. You can trim down the average monthly price by paying $69.90 for three months in advance.

FlirtBuddies also offers a three-day trial membership for $8.90. During our evaluation, two of our testers encountered problems with the trial membership. The site charged them an amount equivalent to one full month of membership even though they had canceled the trial membership before the three days had elapsed. We sent multiple emails to customer support, but we never received a response to our complaints.

— Final Word —

There is no other way to put it, FlirtBuddies offers a hollow user experience. The only flirting that you are going to find on this site is with empty air. Over a three day period, a total of four testers were not able to engage with a real human being on this site. A total of 125 messages were sent out and none received a response. After analyzing 200 female profiles on the site, 184 were either inactive, hollow, or belonged to the fictitious profiles operated by the site itself.

We rate FlirtBuddies as POOR. There are plenty of other hookup sites that provide real results for less money.
