DateOver60

A DateOver60 charge does not show up under that name. The site’s own FAQ prints the card descriptor as 24-7help.net cs@ocdate.net, which carries neither the brand nor the company behind it. Date Over 60 is an auto renewing subscription site for singles over sixty, run by a US and UK pair of companies it names in its own footer.

Everything below comes from its own paperwork, from the public register and from the traffic estimates. The opinion belongs to the poll and the comments.

What This Site Is

Date Over 60 is a general dating site aimed at the over sixties, and it runs on a subscription rather than credits or coins. Nothing on it sells a message, a coin or a token. Registration is free and capped, and a premium membership renews automatically until it is cancelled.

Profiles do not stay in one place. The homepage footer states that a member’s profile is automatically shown on related senior dating sites in the network at no additional charge, and the explainer behind that footer link says it can be switched off in privacy settings.

The last three open full size: the 24-7help.net billing desk, two FAQ answers on paid cancellation and renewal, and the Subscription Fees clause in the terms.

What Happens After You Join

The free membership is spelled out. It covers a profile, photos, searching the member database, and sending up to 10 flirts to 10 different members. The footer disclaimer adds that “charges will accrue if you purchase a premium membership which is offered upon completion of your profile”.

The FAQ describes a trial period as well. Under “How come I was billed twice for this month?” it states: “On the join form it states, if you do not cancel by the time your trial period ends, your membership will recur to a 30 day membership at after the trial period.” DateOver60 FAQ

Clause 21 sets the renewal. A subscription of one month or shorter renews at the then current monthly rate, and one of three months or longer renews at the amount paid divided by the number of months. The Automatic Renewal Terms say a subscription not cancelled before the end of its term will renew.

Cancelling runs through My Account, then Subscription, then the link to the customer support site beside it. Clause 26 puts the deadline at “at least twenty-four (24) hours before your monthly anniversary date”. Apple or Google purchases are cancelled in that account instead.

What Their Paperwork Says

The homepage footer names Online Connections Inc. in Weston, Florida as the domestic office and FBM Online Connections Limited in Elstree, Hertfordshire as the international office, under company number 08436995. The UK register lists FBM ONLINE CONNECTIONS LIMITED, 08436995, as an active private limited company incorporated on 8 March 2013 at that Elstree address. Companies House 08436995. The domain was registered on 3 March 2011. Registry record.

Clause 12 of the Terms of Use says: “The Company does not use or condone the use of fake profiles or bots.” The same clause states that despite its efforts to investigate reports, the company cannot guarantee the service will not be misused and does not undertake to verify information provided by users. Clause 11 states that it does not conduct criminal background checks on its members. Terms of Use

Two of the site’s own documents put refunds differently. The Refund Policy, opened from a footer link, says: “we will gladly offer you a full refund up to 60 days within the date of purchase”, after which all sales are final. Clause 26 of the terms, and the Refund Policy’s own section headed “Full Subscription Term Access In Lieu Of Cancellation”, both say that on cancellation no refund of any fees will be granted.

Clause 26 also separates cancellation from membership: “Please note that cancelling your subscription may not cancel your membership to the Site and your profile may still be viewable by other members even though you have cancelled your subscription.”

The descriptor points at the network’s own billing desk, whose front page is headed “Discreet Billing for Online Dating Websites!” and tells the cardholder: “You purchased a recurring membership to an online dating site owned by Online Connections INC. (In USA) or FBM Online Connections LTD (Outside USA).” 24-7help.net

Questions People Ask About Date Over 60

Does Date Over 60 renew automatically?

Yes, and three of its own documents say so. Clause 21 of the terms sets an automatic re-bill cycle, with the rate depending on how long a plan runs. The Automatic Renewal Terms add that a term which ends without a cancellation rolls into an equivalent period at the same price. The FAQ puts it in one line: the system keeps renewing the subscription until it is cancelled.

Is Date Over 60 free to use?

Registration is free. A free account can build a profile, add photos and search the member database, and flirts are capped at 10, to 10 separate members. The footer disclaimer says charges begin only if you buy the premium membership, which the site offers once a profile is finished.

How do I cancel my Date Over 60 subscription?

You cancel from inside the account. The Automatic Renewal Terms route it through “My Account” and then “Subscription”, where each subscription carries a support link beside it. Clause 26 sets that a day ahead: twenty-four hours before the monthly anniversary date, or another month is charged. Anything bought inside an Apple or Google account is cancelled there instead.

What is 24-7HELP.NET on my bank statement?

It is the network’s billing desk. The DateOver60 FAQ says a charge shows up as 24-7help.net cs@ocdate.net. The desk’s own front page tells cardholders the payment was for a recurring dating site membership, and names Online Connections Inc. inside the United States, or FBM Online Connections Ltd outside it, as the owner of the site being billed. The brand you joined is not in that descriptor anywhere.

Can I get a refund from Date Over 60?

Their own documents state it two ways. The Refund Policy offers a full refund inside 60 days of the purchase and treats everything after that as final. The same policy’s section on full subscription term access, and clause 26 of the terms, instead say that cancelling brings no refund of fees at all.

Two deadlines sit alongside that. Members in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio and Wisconsin get three business days to cancel by signed written notice sent by certified mail, with monies returned inside 30 days. Clause 24 gives 30 days to report a billing error.

Does deleting my Date Over 60 profile stop the billing?

The documents treat them as two separate actions. Clause 26 states that ending a subscription may not end the membership itself, and that a profile can stay visible to other members afterwards. Removing or deactivating the profile is a different route again, set out in clause 25, inside the membership preferences in My Account. Neither document says a deletion closes an active subscription, so cancel the subscription in its own right.

Will my Date Over 60 profile show up on other dating sites?

Yes, unless it is switched off. The homepage footer states: “As a member of Date Over 60, your profile will automatically be shown on related senior dating sites or to related users in the network at no additional charge.” The network explainer opened from that footer adds that a member can “update this in your privacy settings to only have your profile displayed on Date Over 60 and no other site”.

Who owns Date Over 60?

Two companies are named, one each side of the Atlantic. The footer gives a Weston, Florida address for Online Connections Inc. and a Hertfordshire address for FBM Online Connections Limited, and clause 1 of the terms repeats the registration number 08436995. That number sits on the UK register as a live private company, first incorporated in March 2013. Clause 28 states that Florida law applies for US members.

Did anyone message you back? Did you meet anybody worth meeting? Were the profiles what they looked like, and were the people on there actually over sixty? If the renewal or the charge on your statement caught you out, put that in too.
