FreeFlirtz
The site came down in the first half of 2014 and never returned, and the domain now runs a parking script instead. Our original page is below, untouched.
What Happened to FreeFlirtz?
FreeFlirtz stopped serving a website sometime between February and May 2014, and nothing was said about it before or since.
The last working capture in the archive is from February 8, 2014, and it is worth a look because it is not quite the site the name suggests. The page is titled “The Best Live Sex Cams” and its own source describes it as “a cam site for those who like to flirt and watch live performers on cam”. It was a skin rather than a standalone product: the page pulled its content from ecsm.vs.com and logos.videosecrets.com and carried links to flirt4free.com and webcam4money.com, which puts it on the Flirt4Free platform.
The very next capture, from May 17, 2014, is 608 bytes long and contains one thing: a GoDaddy parking frame. There was no farewell page, no maintenance notice and no announcement anywhere. The cam site was up in February, and by May the address held a parking placeholder.
The domain went through several hands after that. Its current registration record only begins on May 14, 2021, seven years after the site stopped loading, which means the name lapsed completely at some point and was picked up again by somebody new. It is registered through NameCheap and paid up to May 2027.
What answers today is not a website. The nameservers on the domain belong to ParkLogic, a domain monetisation company, and every address on the domain returns the same short script, which posts to router.parklogic.com and forwards the visitor to whatever the router picks. Ask for a page that never existed and the response is identical. One load ran through live.pushub.net and an ad redirect before finishing on the signup form of a Greek betting site, and a second load went somewhere else again. The destination changes with the visitor.
One thing the record does not show is what became of the people behind it. Flirt4Free, the platform FreeFlirtz sat on, is still trading. What ended in 2014 was this address, and whether whoever ran the skin closed the business or simply stopped paying for the name is not written down anywhere.
