MatureXMatch

The panel on the MatureXMatch homepage reads “Sign up for free!” with a blue START NOW! button under it. Registering costs nothing, and the terms of use then divide members into a free tier and a paid one. On the paid side, one sentence covers every plan the site sells, with no exception attached to it: “All paid subscriptions automatically renew for the same period and price that you signed up to.” The billing policy treats buying a plan as the agreement to that, and says a short trial converts into a monthly plan when it runs out.

Three Ways to Be on This Site

The terms describe exactly three ways to be here: as a guest without registering, as a “Free Member” who has registered and pays nothing, or as a “Full Member” who has bought a subscription package. There are no credits, coins or tokens anywhere in the documents. It is a mature dating brand and says so in its own headings, one of which reads “Time Has Come to Meet Mature Singles Online”. The hero line over the sign up panel reads “Register to meet your lady tonight.”

The Audience Their Own Pages Are Written For

The brand runs a spread of doors into one site. Its own indexed pages sell mature women dating, over 50 dating, granny dating and a mature chat room, and the marketing blocks lower down reach into single moms and single dads, sugar daddy dating and cougar lesbian dating. The sign up form is narrower than any of that. Its “I am” selector arrives preset to a man looking for a woman.

The gallery runs: the homepage and its sign up panel, a sugar moms block, a second homepage view, a promo panel aimed at single moms and single dads, and the age confirmation box a visitor meets on arrival. Open that last one at full size to read the form behind it.

The Free Step, and What Sits Behind It

Free here means registered, not served. The terms put it this way: “if you see the terminology JOIN FOR FREE this means that you can sign up to the Services free of charge, however you will have limited access to features and areas of the Service. Full access will require a Full Membership.” Elsewhere they add that a non subscriber “will not be able to use all the features and services available on the Website”. Which features those are is never listed in any of the three documents.

Behind that sits the subscription. The terms set out the trial and package list and then say the fees for each “are set out on the payment page”, which is a screen reached after registering. The billing policy adds that the trial itself is not a fixed length, so the day the first renewal falls on is not set by the plan name alone.

Getting out is in the same terms. A member is sent to the “My Settings” section and its Remove Account link, or may give notice “by telephone or email”, which takes effect when the site receives it. The deadline is not a number of hours. It is any time before the date of the recurring payment.

Inside the Three Documents, Starting With Refunds

Refunds are the place the documents part company. The billing policy says “No refund will be made once the subscription is in use as per our Terms of Use, and your access to the service will not stop until the end of the subscription so that you are able to fully enjoy MatureXMatch.” MatureXMatch billing policy

The Terms of Use that sentence points at describe something else. They say “We do not issue refunds unless there are extenuating circumstances that we feel warrant a refund”, followed by “In cases like these, we will issue refunds after investigating on a case-by-case basis”, with recurring billing refunded to the most recent payment only and three months to raise any dispute. The same document carries a section headed “14 DAY CANCELLATION RIGHT (FOR RESIDENTS OF UK AND EU ONLY)” promising “a pro-rated refund based on your usage of the Service”, with sending a message, searching profiles, viewing photos and editing a profile all counted as usage. MatureXMatch terms of use

On who is behind the profiles, the terms take the subject up in one place, section 2A: “We may use internal technical accounts solely for the purposes of quality assurance, security testing, and feature optimization. These accounts do not represent actual users and are not intended for social interaction or promotional engagement.” Beyond that clause the document makes no claim about who profiles belong to, in either direction, and the word fictitious is not in it. The same section describes automated moderation of “Custom Messages”, the flirts and introductory messages members send, and calls those automated checks a mandatory part of the service.

Section 1 of the terms names Flashlight Solutions LTD SRL, at Soseaua Morarilor No. 2B, Sector 2, Bucharest, as the party a member is contracting with, and the same address is given again for cancellation notices and for complaints. None of the three documents prints a company registration number. The domain has been held since 4 February 2011 and the registry record runs to 2030, with the registrant redacted. The privacy policy appoints an outside data protection officer, GDPGuard Ltd of 45 Fitzroy Street, London, and routes data requests through privacy@maturexmatch.com. MatureXMatch privacy policy

Before any of that, a visitor meets a box over the homepage reading “By continuing to use our site, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and consent to the use of cookies in accordance with our Privacy Policy.” It offers YES, CONTINUE and EXIT, and the EXIT button sends you to google.com. What People Want to Know About MatureXMatch

Is MatureXMatch free to use?

Registering is free and using the site fully is not. The terms set out three tiers: a guest who has not registered, a Free Member who has, and a Full Member who has paid for a subscription package. The free tier is described as limited access to features and areas of the service, with full access requiring a Full Membership, and a non subscriber is told they will not be able to use all the features and services on the site.

What a free account can and cannot do is never itemised. None of the three documents lists which features sit behind the paywall.

Does a MatureXMatch subscription renew automatically?

Yes, and both documents that deal with money say so. The terms state that all paid subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price that were signed up to, with no plan excluded from that. The billing policy describes it from the other end: buying a membership plan is itself the agreement to automatic renewal billing, and a short subscription bought at the start converts into the monthly plan when it runs out unless it has been cancelled first.

The billing policy also notes that a trial period can vary in length depending on the bank and the payment method used, so the date the first renewal lands on is not fixed by the plan name alone.

How do you cancel MatureXMatch?

Two routes are given in the terms. Inside the account, go to the “My Settings” section and follow the link to Remove Account. Outside it, you may give notice of cancellation by telephone or email, using tel +1 8008685182 or support@maturexmatch.com, and the terms say that notice takes effect when the site receives it rather than when it is sent.

On timing, no number of hours or days is set anywhere. The billing policy puts the deadline at any point before the date of the recurring payment, which means the date to work back from is your own renewal date.

Can you get a refund from MatureXMatch?

Their pages answer that three different ways. The billing policy says no refund is made once a subscription is in use, and attributes that position to the Terms of Use. The Terms of Use say refunds are not issued unless there are extenuating circumstances the site feels warrant one, decided case by case, with only the most recent payment refundable on a recurring plan and a three month window to raise a dispute.

Separately, the same terms give residents of the UK and the EU a 14 day cancellation right with a refund pro rated by usage. Usage there is defined broadly enough to matter: sending a message, searching profiles, viewing photos or editing your own profile all count against the amount returned.

Are the profiles on MatureXMatch real people?

The terms take the subject up once, in section 2A, and what they describe there is internal accounts rather than member-facing profiles. The site says it may use internal technical accounts for quality assurance, security testing and feature optimisation, and that those accounts “do not represent actual users and are not intended for social interaction or promotional engagement”.

Beyond that clause the document makes no claim about who profiles belong to, in either direction. The word fictitious is not in it. What the same section does cover is flirts and introductory messages, which the terms call “Custom Messages”: they pass through automated moderation tools, described there as a mandatory part of the service.

Who runs MatureXMatch?

The terms name Flashlight Solutions LTD SRL, at an address in Sector 2, Bucharest, as the party members contract with, and repeat that address for cancellation notices and complaints. The billing policy carries the same name in its copyright line. No registration number is printed in any of the three documents.

The privacy policy separately appoints GDPGuard Ltd, of 45 Fitzroy Street, London, as data protection officer, which is a service provider rather than the operator. The domain itself has been registered since February 2011, with the registrant details redacted in the public registry record.

What Happened After You Pressed START NOW!

The poll above and the comment box below are both open.

The terms promise a free member limited access and never say which features that leaves out. Say where yours came up.

Their own pages sell mature women dating, over 50 dating, granny dating and a mature chat room off one brand, while the sign up form offers a single pairing. Say which of those doors you came through and what was behind it.

The terms give a telephone number for cancelling: say whether anybody picked it up. And their refund pages disagree with each other, so if you asked for money back, say which answer you got.
