NetACougar
NetACougar has been selling the same line since 2012: mature women, younger men, no strings. Registering costs nothing and you can look around the site without paying anybody. Sending a message is where the wall sits. And when a payment does go through, the name that turns up on the bank statement is not NetACougar. It is a separate website, and that website runs a page headed “Is this on your statement?” because it gets asked the question often enough to have the answer waiting.
What You Are Actually Signing Up To
Two sites carry this brand. netacougar.com is the shop window, a WordPress build with a blog, guides and a dozen city pages hanging off the footer. The dating product is somewhere else: signup, login, profiles, your account and every legal document sit on hub.netacougar.com. The money model is an auto renewing subscription rather than credits or coins, and the terms put messaging on the paid side of the line.

How Busy This Brand Looks From The Outside
The registry has netacougar.com created on 8 April 2012 and paid up to April 2027, which lines up with the “Since 2012” claim in the site’s own About block. Fourteen years is a long run for a brand in this niche.
The front end is not a parked leftover either. It is a current build, the footer copyright reads 2025, and the brand runs twelve city and region landing pages, from London and Manchester through to California, Texas and Gauteng, plus a blog and a set of guides. A panel on the netacougar.com homepage puts their own number on the crowd, “100K PLUS MEMBERS”, which is the site’s figure rather than a measured one.
What The Shots Show
The homepage panels and the signup screen are the two worth opening at full size, because they are what somebody meets before any decision gets made.
From Free Account To Card Statement
A free account buys registration, a profile and a look around. One thing sits on the far side of the wall. Section 2 reserves “the ability to communicate with other Members” for paying subscribers.
Section 3 is where the subscription renews itself. A plan runs on indefinitely until the subscriber stops it, at the rate signed up for, billed when the current period runs out and not before. Card details stay on file afterwards as a “stored credential”, and the terms treat completing a payment as consent for that.
Trials are handled apart from that, and a trial does not renew at the trial rate. A discounted trial rolls onto the standard undiscounted rate once the initial period ends, unless it is cancelled before that period expires. So the window is the trial itself rather than the day it runs out.
Section 23 sorts refunds by where the subscriber lives. The general rule is that purchases are final, with nothing back for a part used period unless local law says otherwise. Twelve named US states, Arizona through Wisconsin, get three business days from the day of subscribing to cancel without penalty. Subscribers in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland are told a 14 day cooling off period is not available on an instant access digital product, and the clause shuts it with “There are no exceptions.” Anything that is refunded carries “an administration charge”, and no figure for that charge appears anywhere in the document.
The rule that paragraph is talking about is regulation 37 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, which covers digital content supplied without a physical medium. It does take the cancellation right away once supply has started, on two conditions: the consumer gave express consent for supply to begin inside the cancellation period, and acknowledged at the same time that the right to cancel would be lost. Where either is missing, regulation 37(4) puts no cost on the consumer for content supplied in that period.
The Footer, The Terms And The Statement Line
The name in the footer is printed openly. The netacougar.com footer carries a single outbound link and it goes to Ambiance Ltd. That company’s own site states “is operated by Ambiance Ltd. Businesslabs, Level 1, Dun Karm Street, Birkirkara, BKR 9037, Malta” and gives a UK telephone number. The terms and conditions name nobody. They call the operator “the Company” throughout and set governing law to “the laws of our domiciled jurisdiction, and no other laws”, without saying which jurisdiction that is.
That same name is what the bank sees. ambiance-ltd.com is a billing help page headed “Is this on your statement?”, and the top query it answers is “Why does my bank statement have a charge for ambiance-ltd.com?” Its own reply: “Your bank statement is showing a payment for an online dating service that you have subscribed to. The subscription may automatically renew”. Anyone billed through a phone provider instead is told to “text STOP to 89595”.
The same page has a paragraph for people who reach for the bank instead. Chargebacks, it says, “are thoroughly investigated and may result in you being added to a blacklist with our processor”, that this “will complicate future online purchases”, and that “Denying a purchase that you have made is a criminal offence”.
Getting out is a request rather than a switch. Two doors are named in section 4, the support team and the chat bot, and neither of them ends it: what comes back is an email holding a link to a further Membership Cancellation step. The support form is no shortcut either, since its fixed Category dropdown offers Profile issue, Account Enquiry, Report a member, Technical issue, complaints, image misuse and Data Protection, and none of those seven mentions billing. Section 4 also notes that cancelling leaves the profile up and visible to other users.
On who is behind the profiles, two documents from the same brand. A homepage panel reads “DISCREET ENCOUNTERS: Verified profiles, secure messaging, and anonymous browsing for total privacy.” Section 5 of the terms reads “By using this Service you acknowledge that any User profiles, messages and communication may not be genuine.” Section 19 opens with “We do not guarantee that all the profiles found in Search will belong to our users”, then reserves the right to run employee managed accounts it calls Staff Profiles, for testing and research. The domain age behind all of it is independently confirmed by the Verisign registry record at 8 April 2012.
The Questions That Come Up Around NetACougar
Is NetACougar legit?
The brand name is fourteen years old and the registry backs the “Since 2012” line on the homepage. Ambiance Ltd is named in the footer, and that company publishes a Malta street address and a UK phone number on its own site.
The terms and conditions on hub.netacougar.com name no company at all. The operator is only ever “the Company”, and the governing law clause points at an unnamed home jurisdiction. The same document tells a member that profiles may not be genuine and that staff run accounts can appear in search results.
What happens after a NetACougar trial ends?
It converts to the full price by itself. Section 3 keeps trials separate from ordinary plans and states that a discounted trial renews at the standard undiscounted rate the moment the initial period is up, unless the subscriber cancels first.
That makes the trial period the deadline, not the day it expires. Once a first payment has gone through, the card sits on file as a stored credential for the repeat billing, so the higher rate is already authorised by the time it lands.
How do I cancel NetACougar?
By asking, not by clicking. No self serve cancel button is described in any of the site’s documents. What section 4 gives a subscriber is two places to lodge the request, the support team and the chat bot, and an email that comes back afterwards carrying the link that starts the real process. Two steps, and both of them rest on somebody at the other end replying.
The contact form does not speed it up. Its seven fixed categories cover profiles, accounts, reporting a member, technical faults, complaints, image misuse and data protection, and billing is not one of them. Anyone billed through a mobile provider has a different route entirely: a text saying STOP to 89595.
One thing to know before starting. Stopping the subscription does not take the profile down, and it stays visible to other users, so removing the account is a second job.
Are the women on NetACougar real?
Two clauses in the terms speak to it. The first is section 5, under Safety and Account Security, where a member is asked to accept that the profiles, the messages and the conversations on the service “may not be genuine”. That acceptance is a condition of using it.
Test profiles get their own clause at section 19, and it does two separate things. It withholds any guarantee that the accounts turning up in a search are all real members, and it keeps the right to run accounts staffed by the company’s own employees, a category the document names Staff Profiles. The stated purpose is checking the service works and researching the product.
A homepage panel separately advertises verified profiles. That panel sits on netacougar.com and the two clauses sit inside the terms on hub.netacougar.com.
What can you do on NetACougar without paying?
Join, build a profile and browse. Section 2 hands a free member part of the feature set and no more, then names the single thing a subscription unlocks, which is being able to communicate with other members.
So a free account is a viewing account. Replying to anyone who shows up in it needs a paid subscription.
What is the charge on my bank statement from NetACougar?
It reads ambiance-ltd.com rather than NetACougar. That is a live website in its own right, headed “Is this on your statement?”, and the query it puts at the top is “Why does my bank statement have a charge for ambiance-ltd.com?” Its answer: “Your bank statement is showing a payment for an online dating service that you have subscribed to. The subscription may automatically renew”.
The same page handles two follow ups. Mobile billed customers are told to text STOP to 89595, and there is a paragraph warning that chargebacks are investigated and can put a customer on a blacklist held by the payment processor.
Anyone who does not recognise the line has something to check it against. The single outbound link in the netacougar.com footer points at that company, which is how the descriptor and the brand connect.
Does a UK or Irish subscriber get the 14 day cooling off period?
Section 23 of the terms says no, in those words: the service is an instant access digital product, so “the 14-day cooling-off period does not apply. There are no exceptions.” The named US states in the paragraph above it are given three business days instead.
The rule covering digital content in the UK is regulation 37 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. It does remove the cancellation right once supply has begun, on two conditions: the buyer gave express consent for supply to start inside the 14 days, and acknowledged when giving that consent that the right to cancel would be lost. If either condition was not met, regulation 37(4) puts no cost on the consumer for the content supplied in that period.
Tell The Next Reader What Actually Happened
Vote in the poll above, then use the comments. Did the ambiance-ltd.com line turn up on your statement before you knew what it belonged to? Did the cancellation email ever arrive, or did you end up choosing a support category that had nothing to do with billing? Did texting STOP to 89595 stop anything? And was your profile still sitting there afterwards?
