SoloLigones
SoloLigones is sold in Spanish. Its homepage title reads “SoloLigones, citas online para gente traviesa”, the description under it opens “¿Te aburren las citas tradicionales?”, and the page declares og:locale es_ES, which is Spain rather than Latin America. The same address also serves an English version, with lang set to en and a different title, “Choose SoloLigones above all online flirting sites and be sure to be pleased with your decision.” Two front pages at one address, and nothing on the site says which visitor gets which.
What You Are Actually Joining
Nothing on this site is bought with coins, tokens or a credit balance. What the paperwork sells is time, in three named grades of access: Guest, Free Member and Full Member. Section 4(A) of the terms says outright that no fee is payable at the first two, then caps what those two accounts can reach without ever setting out which parts of the site sit behind the cap. The third grade begins with a short trial that becomes a monthly charge.

The Audience Line the EU Requires Them to Publish
One sentence about size exists here and European law is the reason it exists. The site’s Digital Services Act page puts its average monthly active recipients in the Union at “well below 45 million”.
Read that as a ceiling and not as a count. Forty five million is the point at which the regulation starts calling a service a very large online platform, so every service in Europe that stays under it publishes a line of this kind.
The registry gives one more thing to hold on to: the address is booked out to 2030, fourteen years from the day it was created.
Four Pages, Captured
The homepage, the contact page, the login screen and a page of dating tips. The contact one rewards a full size look: that is the support form, and it opens to anybody, with no account and no login.
Where a Trial Day Becomes a Billing Month
The billing policy describes the conversion in one sentence: “once a 3 Day subscription you’ve chosen comes to an end it will automatically convert to our monthly membership plan for which you will be charged a monthly fee unless canceled.”
Nobody signing up is told how many days that first period will run, because the site does not decide it. The trial “may vary from three (3) to seven (7) days”, says the same policy, “depending on your bank’s billing policy and the payment methods you use”. What the site does pin down is the rate: “the price per day offered to you for a trial period won’t change.”
The terms put renewal in capitals: “THIS MEANS THAT THE MINIMUM DURATION OF YOUR CONTRACT WILL BE FOR THE INITIAL PERIOD YOU SELECT (E.G. 1 MONTH), AND THIS WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW UNTIL YOU CANCEL YOUR SERVICE.” Section 2(F) says renewals run “for the same period and price that you signed up to”, and the billing policy agrees. Section 8(A) words it differently, at “the then current non-promotional subscription rate”. Any change to what a package costs is notified by email “at least 7 days prior”.
Two further clauses in the same policy are worth reading before a card goes in. One reserves a pay as you go month “where the user is billed 1/30 of monthly membership on a daily basis”. The other applies when the account cannot fund the whole amount. Instead of the payment failing, the site keeps the right “to charge you for a shorter subscription period”, sized to whatever money is sitting there.
Refunds: One Answer in the Billing Policy, Another in the Terms
The billing policy answers it one way: “No refund will be made once the subscription is in use, as per our Terms of Use, and your access to the service will continue until the end of the subscription, so that you are still able to fully enjoy SoloLigones.”
The terms of use answer it another way for anyone in the UK or the EU, which is the market this site declares. Section 8(C) grants 14 days from confirmation of a subscription to cancel, and states “You will receive a pro-rated refund based on your usage of the Service.” Section 4(E) opens a separate dispute route, asking members to come to the site before the card issuer, and it can end with the disputed amount credited “where justified” if the complaint is raised inside three months. Three conditions ride along with any refund: on a recurring plan only the most recent payment is returned, anything bought through iTunes is carved out, and issuing a refund gives the site the right to add that customer “to the negative databases of our associated authorized billing agents”.
Leaving is written down in four separate ways. Section 8(B) points members at “My Settings” and a Remove Account link, at the telephone number and the email address listed above, and at the Hong Kong postal address, adding that “any notice of intention to cancel shall take effect upon receipt by us.” The fourth needs no account at all: the support form loads without a login and offers Remove account as a subject under Account and Billing Management.
The terms also set out what non member accounts may exist for: “We may use internal technical accounts solely for the purposes of quality assurance, security testing, and feature optimization. These accounts do not represent actual users and are not intended for social interaction or promotional engagement.” The privacy policy gives GDPGuard Ltd of London as the Data Protection Officer appointed by SoloLigones, a role held under contract by an outside firm and not a statement about who owns or runs the site.
The Questions a Trial Tends to Raise
What happens when the SoloLigones free trial ends?
The monthly plan takes over on its own. Under the billing policy a three day plan converts to monthly membership when it runs out, billed every month from that point unless somebody cancels first, and the terms describe the same arrangement as renewals that keep going until the member stops them.
How many days you get first is out of your hands and out of theirs. The billing policy hands that decision to your bank and to the payment method, naming three days at the short end and seven at the long one, and it fixes only the daily rate across that spread. Since the first monthly charge lands at the end of whichever period you were given, treating it as a three day clock is the safe way to count.
Can you get a refund from SoloLigones?
Two of the site’s own documents answer that question differently. The billing policy shuts the door: once a subscription is being used, it says, nothing is refunded, and it credits that rule to the terms of use.
The terms themselves, at section 8(C), hand anyone resident in the UK or the EU a fourteen day window from the confirmation of a subscription in which the agreement can be cancelled, and the refund is worked out pro rata against usage. That same section warns that asking for access straight away, which is what happens at the moment of payment, cuts into whatever comes back.
A third path sits in section 4(E). It asks members to raise a disputed charge with the site before going to the card issuer, and where the complaint stands up the amount is credited, provided the dispute is raised inside three months of the transaction. Whatever route ends in money returning, the terms limit it: recurring plans return the latest payment only, iTunes purchases return nothing, and a refunded customer may be added to the negative databases their billing agents keep.
How do I cancel my SoloLigones subscription?
Four routes are written down. From inside an account, the terms send you to “My Settings” and a Remove Account link, and the billing policy names the same page for stopping the recurring payment. Away from the account, the terms give +1 8008685182 and support@sololigones.com, and any email must include the screen name and the registered email so the account holder can be identified. A letter to the Hong Kong address also works, and it counts from the moment it arrives, not the moment it is sent.
Route four skips the login. The public support form lists Account and Billing Management among its sections and Remove account among its subjects, and anybody can open it.
Nothing in either document sets an hours based cut off. What both give is an event: the terms say before the paid period ends, the billing policy says before the recurring payment falls due.
Who runs SoloLigones, and from what address?
The terms of use answer in one sentence, and it is worth reading exactly as printed: “This website is operated as an online dating and social networking service for people aged 18 or over, and it is operated by SoloLigones registered at Suite 1601, Kinwick Centre 32 Hollywood Road Central Hong Kong .” The privacy policy repeats the same name and the same address as the data controller. The Hong Kong address turns up three more times in the terms, as the postal address for cancellations, for complaints and in the California disclosure.
One other company is named across those documents, and it is not the operator. The privacy policy gives GDPGuard Ltd, 4th Floor, Silverstream House, 45 Fitzroy Street, London W1T 6EB as their appointed Data Protection Officer, and as the UK and EU representative for privacy questions.
The two documents also point at different law. Privacy sits under England and Wales. The contract sits under the laws of your own country of residence.
Is SoloLigones in Spanish or in English?
Both, at the same address. The document served for sololigones.com is Spanish throughout, titled “SoloLigones, citas online para gente traviesa”, and it declares og:locale es_ES, which is the Spain locale rather than a general Spanish one.
Opened in a browser, the same address returns an English page with lang=”en”, the title “Choose SoloLigones above all online flirting sites and be sure to be pleased with your decision”, and a sign up panel headed “Ready? Steady? Date!”. What decides which version a given visitor sees is not stated by the site.
The legal documents are English only. The terms, the billing policy, the privacy policy and the EU disclosure page all render in English, so a Spanish speaker reading a Spanish front page is agreeing to English paperwork.
Does SoloLigones charge a card before the subscription starts?
It can, and the sentence saying so is printed twice, once in the terms and once in the billing policy, word for word. The site says it “may require some users to verify their billing account by debiting their credit or debit card a small, random amount of $0.5 to $5 (or its equivalent in local currency)”, asks the cardholder to read the exact amount off their bank statement and confirm it, and says the money is returned “within 3 to 5 days after the credit card or debit card verification process is complete”.
Both documents give that amount in US dollars, leaving the local currency conversion to whoever issued the card.
How long has sololigones.com existed?
The Verisign registry record gives the domain as created on 30 March 2016, with the registration paid through to 30 March 2030 and a client transfer prohibited status on it. The nameservers are DNS Made Easy.
A creation date belongs to the domain, not to the brand, so it marks the earliest the address could have carried anything.
Say What Happened After Your First Message
If you signed up to this one, the useful thing is what came after your first message: how long a reply took if one came at all, and whether any conversation moved off the site.
Say which language the site ran in once you were logged in, and how far away the members you were shown actually turned out to be. If you cancelled, say which of the four routes did it in the end, and what the charge read as on your statement. The comment box is directly below.
