SpicyFlings

Near the top of the SpicyFlings front page sits the line “more than 3 Million members worldwide”. Further down the same page, the pitch is “our easy matching system and thousands of members”, offered as the reason you could be talking to your dream girl in the next 30 seconds. Both lines are the site’s own. The number that decides what you actually spend is on another page, the price list, where sending one message costs one credit.

A Splash, a Login and a Credit Balance

Joining is free and the front page says so twice, on two REGISTER FOR FREE buttons. Behind them sit a signup form, a password box, and Google and Yahoo sign in.

Money starts when you speak. Credits are bought in bundles up front, one leaves the balance every time a message goes out, and the Terms call the chat here flirtatious chat “exclusively with fictitious profiles”.

What the Site Says About Its Own Numbers

Every size figure attached to this brand comes from the brand. Alongside the two membership claims above, the footer that repeats under every page states that “Every day, hundreds of new members sign up.” Those are marketing lines, and none of them carries a date or a source.

The logged out view is a marketing splash rather than a directory. Six profile tiles sit inside three headed blocks with SEARCH PROFILES and SEARCH NEARBY buttons, and there is no result counter and no filter control anywhere on it, so nothing on that page counts anybody either.

Four shots of the site: the front page, the about page and two promo panels.

What a Credit Costs, and What It Sends

Seven bundles, no plan, no tier and no trial. They open at $2.99 for three credits and reach $300 for three hundred, and every row prints its own rate beside it: $2 a message on the eight credit row, $0.89 on the $8.99 bundle, a flat $1 on the largest. The price of a message is therefore a property of the bundle it was bought in. The site’s own footer quotes a wider spread for the same thing, $0.60 to $2.50, which matches neither end of the printed table.

Nothing repeats. Clause 2 of the price list states that all payments are one time and non-recurring, and a search of the Terms of Use for a renewal turns up nothing. The clock the site does run sits on the balance instead: clause 1 gives unused credits three months before they expire and says they cannot be turned back into cash. Clause 3 puts VAT inside the printed rates, and clause 5 warns that paying in another currency can bring a bank’s own conversion fee with it.

The statement line is published in advance too. Under the heading “What is shown on my bank statement?” the page says the operator’s company name will appear as a neutral payment reference, then follows it with a sentence opening on a capitalised NEVER that keeps the brand name, and any word about chatting or flirting, off the statement entirely. Read Off Their Terms and Their Company Page

The about page names Neto Web Development B.V. at Houserveld 23 in Brunssum as the company behind spicyflings.com, prints CC 86687271 as its Chamber of Commerce line and support@spicyflings.com underneath, and links the European online dispute resolution platform. It also carries a printable form for backing out of a purchase, addressed to that street, with the declaration written for you: “I hereby inform you that I have terminated our agreement regarding the sale of credit package(s)”. The instruction below the form reads “Please print out this page and send it to support@spicyflings.com”. SpicyFlings company information

Refunds turn up in three separate spots on the site, and each states its own terms. Clause 1 of the price list rules out turning an unused balance into cash or a refund, except where the law requires it. The refunds block further down that same page gives 14 days from the order to ask for one, by email to the billing address. Clause 6.1 of the Terms uses the same 14 days and adds that closing your own account returns whatever credits are still unspent. Clause 4 of the price list restates the statutory 14 day cooling off window for entertainment services, and notes it is given up by anyone who asks to start immediately. SpicyFlings Terms of Use

Leaving is quicker than paying. Clause 13.1 puts account closure inside the account settings, available at any time, with no notice period attached to it.

The footer singles out one set of profiles in the site’s own words: the ones “marked with a heart icon” are there for entertainment, and “physical contact with these profiles is impossible”. Clause 1.2 sets 21 as the minimum joining age, while the ages beside the six names on the logged out tiles ran from 18 to 33 on the logged out view. The copyright at the foot of that page starts in 2019, the same year the registry record for the .com gives for the domain’s creation, on 18 November. The SpicyFlings front page

Asked Before the Card Comes Out

Do you need an account on SpicyFlings before you can see anything?

Not for the front page, and not for the paperwork. The domain opens on a marketing splash carrying six profile tiles with names and ages, three blocks of sales copy, two search buttons and two REGISTER FOR FREE buttons. No counter and no filters sit on that view, so it works as a shop window rather than as a directory you can search.

The price list, terms, privacy statement, about page and help desk form all load logged out as well, which puts the credit table, the refund route and the statement wording in front of you before you hand over an email address. Registering for nothing opens the member and message areas, and credits are what let you send.

How much is a credit on SpicyFlings, and how long before it expires?

Seven bundles are on sale in US dollars, opening at $2.99 for three credits and topping out at $300 for three hundred. Every row prints its own per message rate, so the same message runs to $2.00 out of the eight credit bundle and $0.89 out of the $8.99 one. Sending is what spends a credit.

Clause 1 of that page puts a three month shelf life on anything left unspent, and rules out turning an unused balance back into cash. So the bundle picked at the till sets both the rate and how much there is to get through before that window closes.

Is SpicyFlings a subscription, or do you pay once?

Clause 2 of the price list puts every payment on the site in the one time and non-recurring category. No plan, no tier and no trial appears beside the seven bundles, and a search of the Terms of Use for renewal language comes back empty.

What gets bought is a quantity of credits rather than a stretch of access, so holding the account itself costs nothing and there is no anniversary date attached to the card.

Which company charges you when you pay SpicyFlings, and how does the charge read?

SegPay takes the cards and PayPal is the other route, both named on the price list, with help@segpay.com, a chat option and a self service portal printed for SegPay. The merchant behind them is the company the about page names for the domain, Neto Web Development B.V. of Brunssum in the Netherlands, with CC 86687271 under it.

What the line reads as is published before anyone buys, under a heading asking what shows on your bank statement: the operator’s company name, described there as a neutral payment reference. A capitalised NEVER follows it, ruling out the brand, or any mention of chatting or flirting, appearing alongside.

How do you get a refund or close a SpicyFlings account?

Closing sits in the account settings under clause 13.1 of the Terms, available whenever you want it, with no notice period written against it. Money is a separate errand: 14 days from the order, by email to billing@spicyflings.com, is what the price list sets out.

A printable withdrawal form sits on the about page too, made out to the company’s street address in Brunssum, and the instruction below it is to print the page and send it to support@spicyflings.com. Clause 6.1 of the Terms keeps the same 14 days and adds that closing your own account returns whatever credits are still unspent.

What have SpicyFlings members said on this page?

The poll near the top is where they have said it. It runs four options, from meeting at least one person and recommending the site, through a good experience with nobody met, down to meeting nobody and having a poor time of it. Counts and percentages show on the poll itself and shift as people vote.

The comment box at the foot of the page is the longer version of the same thing, and it is open. The votes and the comments are readers’, not ours.

Did the Fling Happen?

The poll is near the top and the comment box is straight below this.

The site marks some profiles with a heart icon, so start there: was one on the profile you ended up spending credits on? Say how many messages went out before a reply came back, and whether any of the balance was still sitting there when the three months ran out. And if it ever turned into an actual fling, that is worth writing down too.
