YourOnlineMatches

On YourOnlineMatches, every message you send is a purchase. You buy credits in bundles, one credit sends one message, and what a message costs depends on the bundle: the per message column on their own pricing page runs from $0.90 to $2.00. There is no membership behind it. The pricing page states that “all payments are one time and non-recurring”, clause 5.3 of the terms repeats it, and neither document describes a renewal date.

Browsing Is Open, Messaging Is Not

Registration costs nothing and the splash page says so: “Signing up is easy and free, and… you do not need a Credit Card to sign up!” Logged out you get a grid of profiles and a prompt to sign up to see more. The footer describes the product as “a flirting chat platform for profiles looking for fun, flirty or exciting contacts sending messages cost credits”, the missing punctuation theirs.

What One Message Costs

Seven bundles are printed on the pricing page, in this order, with the per message figure taken from their own third column:

3 credits for $6, which is $2 a message

10 credits for $9, which is $0.90 a message

300 credits for $300, which is $1 a message

125 credits for $150, which is $1.20 a message

50 credits for $65, which is $1.30 a message

25 credits for $37.50, which is $1.50 a message

8 credits for $16, which is $2 a message

The footer of that same page carries a different range. It reads: “The price per message/credit varies from $0.60 to $2.50, depending on the bundle you want to buy.” No row in the table above is priced at $0.60 and no row is priced at $2.50. Both sentences render on the same page.

The page also notes that “Payments can be in foreign currency equivalent. Your bank might charge you Foreign Exchange fees”, and the terms repeat that at 5.6.

On the card statement, they volunteer the answer under their own heading. Read on the pricing page: “Quadra Tech LLC, a neutral payment reference, will appear on your bank or credit card statement. NEVER will the nameyouronlinematches.com or any reference to chatting or flirting be mentioned on your bank or credit card statement.” The missing space in that second sentence is theirs.

What Their Own Documents Say, Clause By Clause

Profiles marked with a heart icon are covered in three separate places, and the three are not worded alike. The one a member actively agrees to is the tick box on the sign up form, which renders on the pricing, terms and company pages, and it is written in the first person: “By becoming a member, I agree to the Terms and Conditions and the use of fictional entertainers profiles, marked with a heart icon, with which physical contact is not possible.”

The site wide footer, which prints on every page including the terms, carries a shorter version: “Profiles marked with a heart icon are for entertainment purposes only; these profiles/users are intended for chatting only on the website.”

Inside the numbered terms the subject comes up once, at 13.1, under a heading reading “LIMITATIONS OF OUR SERVICE”: “You understand that you are communicating with our Profiles/users, who use both their expertise to provide you with information based on the data you provide.”

Three clauses govern what happens to credits you have not spent, and they are worth reading together. The pricing page states: “The standard 14-day-after-purchase refund policy for digital services applies, provided the services have not yet begun and only for unused tokens.” The terms state the same policy at 5.5 with an extra condition attached, “provided you have not yet removed your account”, and then add a sentence the pricing page does not carry: “You maintain refund rights for services not provided, unauthorized charges, or material misrepresentation of services.”

And 6.1 is the way you end the agreement: “You can terminate the Agreement at any time by deleting Your account. Please note that this will forfeit any outstanding Token balance.” Clause 6.2 sets out a second route to the same forfeiture, where the site may terminate and forfeit a balance “if You have not accessed the Services during a consecutive period of one (90) days”. The bracketed figure is printed exactly that way in their document.

The operator is named twice in the site’s own material. The terms open by calling the agreement one “between Quadra Tech LLC and its affiliates”, and the company information page prints the same name, the Lewes address, the number 3495435 under a “CC:” label, and the phone line. The identical company name, address and phone appear on the company page of TheMatchCompass, a separate brand. YourOnlineMatches also shares its single sign on host with fourteen other live domains, listed in full on the host.io record for that host.

The domain itself is recent. Verisign’s registry record puts its registration at 17 May 2024, with an expiry in May 2027, and the site’s own footer copyright line starts at 2024 to match.

YourOnlineMatches, Credit By Credit

Is YourOnlineMatches a real dating site?

The site does not describe itself as a dating service. Its own footer calls it “a flirting chat platform for profiles looking for fun, flirty or exciting contacts”, and the terms describe the service at 2.2 as being able to select a profile, start a chat by sending text messages, and share pictures. Nothing in the documents describes arranging to meet anybody.

On who is on the other side of a chat, the site says something in three places and the heart icon is the marker all three point at. The tick box on the sign up form has the member agree, in the first person, to “the use of fictional entertainers profiles, marked with a heart icon, with which physical contact is not possible”. The footer calls those same profiles “for entertainment purposes only” and “intended for chatting only on the website”. Clause 13.1 of the terms, under the heading “LIMITATIONS OF OUR SERVICE”, tells the member “you are communicating with our Profiles/users, who use both their expertise to provide you with information based on the data you provide”.

How much does a message cost on YourOnlineMatches?

One credit sends one message, and the credits come in seven bundles. Priced by their own per message column, the smallest bundle of 3 credits works out at $2 a message, 8 credits also at $2, and the cheapest is the 10 credit bundle at $0.90. In between are 25 credits at $1.50, 50 at $1.30, 125 at $1.20 and 300 at $1. So the per message price does not fall in a straight line as you spend more, and the 10 credit bundle for $9 is the cheapest talking on the page.

One thing to know before you compare: the footer of that same pricing page states the price varies from $0.60 to $2.50 depending on the bundle, and neither of those figures matches any row in the table printed above it. Prices are in US dollars, and the page adds that payments may be taken in a foreign currency equivalent and that your bank may add exchange fees on top.

Does YourOnlineMatches charge you again automatically?

According to the site’s own documents, no. The pricing page states that “all payments are one time and non-recurring”, and clause 5.3 of the terms carries the same sentence in its own wording.

There is no renewal language in the terms to set beside that. No membership tier and no trial period are described anywhere in them, and the words subscription, auto-renew and automatically renew do not appear in the document at all. What the two pages describe instead is a token balance that runs down as messages are sent, with a further purchase of credits as the only thing that adds to it.

What appears on your bank statement from YourOnlineMatches?

The operator’s name and nothing else. Under its own heading asking what shows on your bank statement, the pricing page says Quadra Tech LLC will appear as what it calls a neutral payment reference, and states in capitals that the site’s name, or any reference to chatting or flirting, will never be mentioned on a bank or credit card statement.

So the wording on a statement is a company name with no connection to the brand visible in it. If you are trying to match a payment to this site, the string to search your statement for is the company name, not the brand. Billing queries have their own address on the same page, billing@youronlinematches.com, separate from the general support address.

Can you get a refund from YourOnlineMatches?

Both documents describe a 14 day window after purchase, limited to tokens you have not used and to services that have not begun, and both send you to billing@youronlinematches.com to start it. The pricing page adds that refunds go back by the same payment method where possible and usually take a few business days.

The two documents are not worded identically. The version in the terms at 5.5 attaches a further condition, that you have not yet removed your account, which the pricing page version does not mention. The terms version also adds a sentence about rights you keep regardless, covering services not provided, unauthorised charges, or material misrepresentation of services. Both are current, on the site, today.

What happens if you delete your YourOnlineMatches account?

Deleting the account is how the terms say you end the agreement, and clause 6.1 states that doing so forfeits any outstanding token balance. There is no separate cancellation process described, because there is no subscription to cancel, and the readable text of the terms carries no cancellation instructions.

Read that next to the refund clause and the order of operations matters. The terms condition the 14 day refund on unused tokens on your not having removed the account, while deleting the account is the stated way to leave and forfeits what is left. Clause 6.2 describes the site’s own version of the same outcome: it may terminate and forfeit an outstanding balance where an account has not been accessed for what the document prints as “a consecutive period of one (90) days”.

Tell The Next Person What Your Credits Bought

A poll sits at the top of this page and the comment box at the bottom is where the detail goes. Did the amount a bundle actually took match its row on the table, or land somewhere in the wider $0.60 to $2.50 the footer prints? If you claimed the 14 day refund on unused tokens, say whether it came back and how long billing took to answer. And if you deleted the account, or left it untouched long enough for the 90 day clause, say what happened to the credits still sitting in it.
